Sport and exercise sciences involve the provision of support services to elite athlete, public health and fitness, as well as special populations such as the elderly and hospital patients.
Sport Psychology, Coaching and Physical Education - BSc (Hons)
The Sport Psychology, Coaching and Physical Education BSc will give you access to our sports hall, sports science labs and highly trained staff.
Sports and Dance Therapy - BSc (Hons)
Developed in partnership with the Society of Sports Therapists (SST), this unique course teaches you to assess, treat and rehabilitate athletes and dancers following injury or dysfunction.
Sports Science Extended Degree - BSc (Hons)
Sports science looks into the effect of exercise and sport on the human body. This extended degree will give you practical skills relating to sports science.
Sports Therapy - BSc (Hons)
This was the world's first Sports Therapy degree to be accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists.

Although a relatively new discipline, sports science has gained in popularity and recognition over the past few decades. By choosing one of our courses you will be stepping into the world of elite sport right through to individual fitness. You’ll be learning about a range of areas, from sports injury and psychology to public health and fitness.
If dance is what moves you, we also offer a Sports and Dance Therapy degree. This course will give you the skills required to assess, treat and rehabilitate both athletes and dancers.

Many of our courses are also endorsed and accredited by professional bodies. Many career paths to choose from
Completing a sports science degree with us prepares you for a range of careers spanning the scientific and commercial worlds, from roles in sports management and marketing through to personal training, physiotherapy and nutritional consultancy. Our graduates go on to work for employers such as Arsenal and Chelsea Football Clubs, AFC Wimbledon and Educogym. Others have continued on to a PGCE, enabling them to work in education.
If you decide to combine dance and sports therapy, you will acquire the skills needed to pursue roles such as dance company therapist (in-situ or touring), injury prevention officer for dance schools and companies, or pre- and post-performance masseuse. You could also choose to set up your own clinic or work as a consultant, providing screening, choreography advice, prehabilitation and rehabilitation.
