London Met has been providing education in the heart of London since 1848. The Schools, Colleges and Widening Participation team continues the University's outreach work of over a century and a half, as part of the University's enduring commitment to social responsibility and social justice.
We support schools, colleges and adult learners through outreach activities and programmes that promote student aspirations, achievement and progression into Higher Education.
London Met today is one of the most socially inclusive universities in the UK – 57% of our students are from black or minority ethnic communities, 48% are mature students and 98% are from state schools or colleges.
We are also very proud of our student ambassadors – current London Met students who work on all our programmes and activities to help support local young people.
