Either 

One of the following award qualifications:

• SAT: score of 1100 (550+ in both subjects)
• ACT (American College Test): score of 22
• Advanced Placement (AP) Tests: two passes with grade 3 and above in relevant subjects
• At least one year (30 credits) at a US community college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.7
• A combination of AP exams, SATs and IB HL modules will be considered. Accepted combinations are
  • 1 AP (3+) and 1 SAT (550+)
  • 1 AP (3+) and 2 HL IB modules (H5+)
  • 1 SAT (550+) and 2 HL IB modules (H5+)
• For courses that carry UCAS tariff points (e.g. IB) please see the course page for specific UCAS point requirements

Or

One of the following award qualifications with a USA Assessment Alternative (students who have taken SAT/ACT/APs within the past 2 years are ineligible for USA alternative assessment)

• US high school diploma and transcript with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 and B in relevant subjects
• GED with minimum score of 165 in each of four subject tests

Transfer applicants

Students who have completed an associate’s degree at a community college or two years (60 credits) at a US university with a GPA of 2.7 in a relevant subject area may be considered for Advanced Entry to Year 2 (evaluated on a case-by-case basis).

Students who fall below the 3-year undergraduate requirements may be considered for an appropriate foundation year degree programme.

• ACT (American College Test): score of 16
• Advanced Placement (AP) Tests: two passes with grade 2 and above in relevant subjects
• For courses that carry UCAS tariff points (e.g. IB) please see the course page for specific UCAS point requirements

Or 

One of the following award qualifications with a USA Assessment Alternative (students who have taken SAT/ACT/APs within the past 2 years are ineligible for USA alternative assessment) 

• US high school diploma and transcript with a cumulative GPA of 2.0
• GED with minimum score of 145 in each of four subject tests 

One-year Postgraduate degree

A US bachelor's degree with cumulative GPA of 2.7 with at least 30 credits from one specific subject area, and a relevant well written statement in support of the application that demonstrates the applicant’s suitability, interest and motivation.

Test scores are not required.

We offer pathway programmes for students who may require additional foundation coursework before applying for our bachelor’s and master’s courses.

Qualification/grade

Applicants that have completed a bachelor’s degree in the USA are usually exempt from submitting English language requirements. 

Applicants with US citizenship (who have not completed a US bachelors) can evidence their english language skills with one of the below qualifications:

• Pass English in high school diploma (GPA 2.0+/ C)
• Pass AP English (3+)
• One of these accepted language tests

Secure English Language Test (SELT) requirements apply to applicants that are not of majority English speaking nationality as defined by the UK Home Office, or those who do not possess a degree awarded, studied and conferred in a majority English speaking country.
