"I started my time at London Met in 2012 with a foundation year. I was not really sure which path I would take, but four years on I'm happy to call myself a pharmaceutical scientist! I am extremely grateful for the chance to have met and worked with some incredibly talented and passionate teachers!"

More about our chemical and pharmaceutical sciences courses

Do you enjoy chemistry and biology? Would you like to be at the forefront of medical research and find ways to treat and even cure disease? Our range of chemical and pharmaceutical science courses might be the right choice for you.

The origins of the word pharmacology stem from the Greek word Pharma, meaning drug. Pharmacy is therefore the science and technique of preparing and dispensing drugs produced by pharmacologists to ensure their safe and effective use.

If you are more interested in studying chemistry in particular, our degree course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Industry and workplace links

We maintain strong relationships with industrial and workplace partner organisations as well as professional bodies and public service organisations that make the most of our location in London. Many of our courses are also endorsed and accredited by professional bodies.
