London Met has built a successful, powerful partnership with high-quality London schools to provide an excellent platform to develop your career as a teacher. The partnership was described by Ofsted in its recent report (2016) as “providing good and sometimes outstanding trainees as well as newly qualified teachers (NQTs) who enhance the quality of teaching and education for pupils in London.”
London Met trainees were also praised for their “professional attributes… and their ability to manage pupils’ behaviour” as well as highlighting employment and completion rates well above the national average. We offer innovative, inspiring courses that are delivered by knowledgeable and experienced sector professionals. Employment prospects are excellent and many students are offered employment in their placement schools.
All our PGCE courses received a 100% score for progression into work or further study within six months of graduation, according to the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education 2015-16 (released in July 2017).
