Assessment and Feedback

Leading the Assessment and Feedback workstream for PISO is Suzanne Burley, Head of School of Social Professions, and Elena Moschini, Head of Student Experience and Academic Outcomes for the School of Computing and Digital Media.

The purpose of this workstream is to improve assessment outcomes for all students at London Met by implementing effective assessment methods and assessment feedback that is even more useful and timely for students.

Our staff give students academic advice to support students in further developing and enhancing their work. This will be the primary focus of the work on feedback undertaken by the Assessment and Feedback Team including information provided by staff on how well a student is performing. The Team will provide staff with guidelines on effective assessment and feedback strategies to improve the student experience and increase student satisfaction.

Assessment and Feedback outcomes

The work of Assessment and Feedback will contribute to improvements in the retention and progression rate of our students. It will also contribute to improvements in the number of students who graduate with upper second-class (2:1) and first-class (First or 1st) degrees. The range of assessment methods will be improved and students will find assessment feedback even more useful to their development.
