Music technology

Our music technology students showcased their end of year work in a wonderfully curated online show. We were proud to watch as all of our students put their best foot forward despite the challenges they faced with the ongoing pandemic. Head over to their end of year Music Technology Show website to hear what they've got to offer.

Find out what our students have been up to:

Foundation year, Level 3

Our foundation year students ended the year with their first full song production. This year students produced songs in a diverse range of styles including Hip Hop, Drum and Bass and Dub Step.

First year, Level 4

Get a feel for the nuts and bolts of undergraduate study in music technology with snapshots into film music, sound design and sonic arts projects that saw our students get to grips with fundamental audio equipment and skills.

Second year, Level 5

From nature documentaries to crime dramas, our students can sort you a soundtrack for anything. This year's work also involved a podcast project, where students paired up to produce their very own episodes.

Third year, Level 6

Final year in Music Technology means the biggest challenge to date: students pull out all the stops as they compose, produce, mix and master a six-track EP to a professional standard.
