Why study this course?
Our Artificial Intelligence BSc (Hons) course at London Met aims to produce a new generation of artificial intelligence professionals who combine technical fluency, ethical insight, and social purpose. The course offers a unique proposition by situating AI education within London Met's values of inclusivity, creativity, and civic responsibility.
This course integrates human-centered AI, social impact design, and employability pathways that empower students to apply artificial intelligence to real-world challenges such as healthcare inequalities, sustainability, accessibility, and digital inclusion. Students will graduate not only as skilled programmers but as reflective practitioners capable of leading change across sectors.
This course is innovative in its approach to AI, it combines computing, ethics, data science, psychology, and business innovation. It is also co-created with industry and embedded in professional experience.
Course details
In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:
- a minimum of grades BBC in three A levels (or a minimum of 112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg Advanced Diploma)
- English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C/grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
Applicants with relevant professional qualifications or extensive professional experience will also be considered on a case by case basis.
If you don't have traditional qualifications or can't meet the entry requirements for this undergraduate degree, you may still be able to gain entry by completing our Artificial Intelligence (including foundation year) BSc (Hons)
Accreditation of Prior Learning

English language requirements
To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If you require a Student visa (previously Tier 4) you may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS. This course requires you to meet our standard requirements.
If you need (or wish) to improve your English before starting your degree, the University offers a Pre-sessional Academic English course to help you build your confidence and reach the level of English you require.

There will be a range of assessment methods employed throughout the course, including in-class assignments, formal exams, and coursework.
Formative and summative feedback will be provided using a variety of methods and approaches, such as learning technologies, verbally, at various points throughout the teaching period and will adhere to the University policy regarding the timing of feedback.
Upon graduation, you'll be well prepared to pursue rewarding and successful careers in the growing field of artificial intelligence. Furthermore, you'll also be equipped to pursue further academic studies with an MSc or PhD research. This course can be a gateway to our MSc in Artificial Intelligence or Robotics with Artificial Intelligence.
If you study your undergraduate degree with us, as a graduate of London Met, you'll be entitled to a 20% discount on a postgraduate course if you continue your studies with us.

When to apply
The University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) accepts applications for full-time courses starting in September from one year before the start of the course. Our UCAS institution code is L68.
If you will be applying direct to the University you are advised to apply as early as possible as we will only be able to consider your application if there are places available on the course.
