Prostitution and Global Sex Trade report launch

February 2016

A report commissioned by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Prostitution and the Global Sex Trade on how to implement the Sex Buyer Law in the UK was launched on Tuesday, 23 February 2016.

Dr Maddy Coy from the Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit (CWASU), co-founder of the Nordic Model Information Network, was appointed as a Commissioner along with other experts on prostitution.

The full report was available on the End Demand UK website (now defunct).

See Liz Kelly’s comments quoted in The Guardian on 12 February 2016 where she brings extensive research findings to the debate this week concerning appropriate levels of scepticism from the police in following up reports of rape and sexual abuse.
