Anne Karpf, course leader of the MA Journalism and an award-winning journalist, has been selected to attend the 2013 Energy and Climate Change Boot Camp for journalists at Knight Science Journalism at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) next month. A dozen 'Boot Camp Fellows' will hear science and engineering specialists explore topics from wearable solar panels to the mechanics of climate change models, as well as the facts and fictions of climate change.
Anne, who is a regular Guardian columist commented "This is an exciting opportunity to hear about the most most important issue facing us today - and tomorrow. I hope that I'll come back full of ideas about how to report on it in fresh ways, and enthuse my MA Journalism students into writing and broadcasting on the subject."
