Celebrating our students’ excellence in interactive music marketing.

Students present their ideas to industry experts

Date: 10/05/2016

Last week BA (Hons) Music Business and Live Entertainment hosted the Orchard Lab Plenary, a unique London Met tradition celebrating our students’ excellence in interactive music marketing.
Our industry experts on the Panel included: Panel Chair, Visiting Professor Erik Nielsen (Music Managers Forum, Rocket Music, Wingnut Music), Stephen O’Reilly (PLVTFORM, previously Shuffler.fm, Topspin and Mobile Roadie), Francesco Gaudesi (Spaceship Management) and others.

Students of all years attended the event to see the three excellent teams present their campaigns, projects and ideas. These ranged from ‘old-school’ artist management with lots of gigs and image-building, supported by state of the art online marketing, to virtual artists and innovative releases featuring new direct-to-fan models and microsites.

Course Leader Milan Todorovic said “It was great to see all the talent and ideas our students put forward, they were indeed of a high quality.” The next year’s Lab is eagerly anticipated and preparations are underway.
