Entry requirements for students from Ghana

Please note: This information is provided as a guide only. Some courses may have specialised entry requirements that are listed on the relevant course page. Please check for any additional subject/course specific requirements before submitting your application.

Academic entry requirements

Type of course	Qualification/grade
Undergraduate	Diploma. Students with exceptionally good grades (all A/B) in SSSCE and other qualifications/work may be considered. Minimum CGPA or FGPA of 2.7.
Four-year degree including a foundation year	Students who fall slightly below the standard requirements for an undergraduate course may be considered for an available or appropriate foundation year degree programme.
Postgraduate	Applicants need a second class degree/CGPA or FGPA 2.7 minimum for master's 1. University of Ghana, Legon - CGPA 2.50 to 2.70 (min) 2. KNUST - CWA 50% to 60% (min) 3. UCC, Cape Coast and UCEW, Winneba - 50% to 60% (min) 4. UDS, Tamale - 50% to 60% (min)

From 2006 only WAEC SSCE grade C6 is considered equivalent to 6.0 overall and 5.5 in each band. (please refer to English language for those courses with a higher english language requirements)

We also accept all of these general English language requirements.

Mathematics (if applicable to your course)

SSSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination). Grade between A1 and C6.

Undergraduate tuition fees start from £19,500

Scholarships and fundings

Eligible Ghanaian students can apply for the International Bright Futures Scholarship - London Metropolitan University which provides an automatic £5,000 tuition fee discount.
