Santanu Vasant

Santanu Vasant joined London Met as the Head of Educational Development and Digital Education in July 2023, where he responsibility for providing academic leadership and high-level coordination in the provision of staff professional development for the enhancement of practice in teaching, learning and pedagogical scholarship and research.  

Santanu has worked in the Higher Education sector since 2004 in a variety of roles in Digital Education and Educational Development, including leading two Learning and Teaching Centres at the University of East London and the University of West London.

He has a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Technology and Design, a PGCE in Secondary ICT from Brunel University London and a Masters in Education from UCL. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a qualified Agile Project Management practitioner.

He has researched and published in the field of designing physical and virtual learning spaces and learning design. 

Currently, he is one of the editors of the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) Educational Developments Magazine (2019-Present) and a reviewer for the Association for Learning Technology’s Journal Research in Learning Technology (2016-Present). He also runs the TalkingHE Podcast (2020-Present). He can be found @santanuvassnt on Twitter.
