Cass Lecturer, Onur Ozkaya, who teaches at studio 4 interior architecture and design, has won a first prize award in prestigious "Dare to Dream" design awards in Tokyo. The prize included 1.000.000 JPY and the exhibition of the work during the Tokyo Design Week 2014 events in October. The competition jury included several important designers from both Japan and U.K. such as Ross Lovegrove, Junko Koshino, Yasuhiro Mihara and Masaya Kushino.

The award winning project proposes a new chair prototype that developed by exploring the performative qualities of traditional Japanese Kimono dress and re-applying these qualities to an armchair furniture type to test its possible spatial outcomes while considering both comfortable seating options and rocking features due to its new geometry.
