Anne Karpf, a writer, sociologist and award-winning journalist, is going to present a one-hour BBC Radio 4 programme on women’s voices on air. ‘Spoken Like a Woman’ will be broadcast in the ‘Archive on 4′ slot on Saturday, February 2 at 8pm.
Anne is a regular writer for The Guardian on social, political and cultural issues and the Independent on Sunday among other publications. Currently she is giving a paper titled ‘Speaking Sex to Power? The Female Voice as a Dangerous Instrument’, at a seminar in Oslo on January 18.
Anne is a Reader in the School of Media Culture and Communication and her work will be of interest to those teaching and studying early years, media studies and professional writing and journalism.
