London Met Develops the Employability Skills of Students

Achieving success in housing job interviews

Date: 12.11.2014

The School of Social Professions is putting an increasing emphasis on getting students into rewarding careers. As part of BSc Community Development and Leadership, students undertake a mock assessment centre process, with skills development in jobs applications, interview skills and many other ways in which employers test prospective employees.

In addition, a suite of job interview skills videos are being developed. In summer 2014, the University developed a good practice video for applicants seeking a job in housing. It is hoped that the interview videos will help job applicants fully address the questions asked in public and voluntary sector job interviews.
