The University's enterprise experts will deliver the Small Business Leadership Programme to support the recovery and growth of small businesses following the pandemic.
Date: 05 August 2020
The Guildhall School of Business and Law (GSBL) at London Met will be working with the Small Business Charter to deliver a fully-funded programme aimed at supporting leaders of small and medium-sized businesses to ‘survive and thrive’ post COVID-19. This new scheme is part of a £20 million package the government are providing to support the recovery and growth of small businesses following the pandemic.
The programme will start on 13 January 2021 at 5.30 pm. SMEs can register for a place on the course by going through the SBLP registration page, and clicking the 'London' region.
What is the Small Business Leadership Programme?
The Small Business Leadership Programme is being developed by experts in small business and enterprise from across leading UK business schools. It will involve 10 weeks of training (approx. 3.5 hours study per week) and will be delivered remotely.
For small business owners, this is a fantastic opportunity to access academic expertise and learn how to boost to your business performance and productivity from leading experts in this area. Whilst COVID-19 has been damaging to many businesses, arguably it also presents new opportunities to capitalise on inefficiencies that have been highlighted in the market.
Participating on this course will also provide an opportunity to 'network' with small business owners in your local area - London - and we'd very much like to continue facilitating these relationships in the future.
What does the curriculum include?
The curriculum will broadly cover the following areas:
- Innovation and markets
- Leadership and employee engagement
- Vision, purpose and brand
- Demand creation and customer relationships
- Operational efficiency and financial markets
- Action planning and implementation
If you are interested in the event you can read more about the curriculum, or if you have any specific questions about the programme, please contact Dr Jo Cartwright who would be more than happy to help.
