Your Profession, Your Future CIPD Student Conference

London Guildhall’s HRM courses were on show at the CIPD’s first ever London Student Conference ‘Your Profession, Your Future’ held in February. Some 250 student delegates attended this lively event to hear talks including Kick starting your HR career; Working the room: networking to get a job; Enhancing your employability; and Using social media throughout your career.
The HRM team had an exhibition stand, staffed by HRM Team Leader, Dr. Sue Shortland, and senior lecturers Rick Layden and Martin Tremaine and one of our PG DIP HRM students, Elaine Grant. We spoke to student delegates to discuss their options for further study and how to maximise their career potential as well as about our short courses to address their desire for continuing professional development.
