Level Up: bitesize help for start-up students

Accelerator’s new events programme will provide short, targeted enterprise sessions for students and graduates interested in the business world.

Date: 27 October 2020

London Met’s Student Enterprise team is set to deliver Level Up, a brand new programme of bitesize events and workshops for students and graduates interested in the start-up and business world.

Run through Accelerator, London Met’s Business incubator, each event will be between 30 and 60 minutes long. Participants don’t need to already have a business idea to take part – just having a curiosity about entrepreneurship and enterprise is enough.

The launch event will take place on 29 October, 1.15 – 2 pm. It will give attendants the first chance to hear about all the opportunities the Student Enterprise team will be offering in 2020/21 to help budding business moguls to develop a skillset to help you land their dream job, set up a business, learn new skills or expand their network of contacts. The speakers include Natasha Triay, Student Enterprise Manager at London Met and Yasmin Desai, Product Owner at Revolut.

Upcoming sessions include: How to find great ideas; Should I start a business at uni; Set up and sell online; and How to start as a freelancer.

Each Level Up session is designed to help student and graduates to:

  • find out more about starting a business and how the University can provide support towards achieving this;
  • be inspired by successful individuals who have gone through this exciting journey;
  • learn new skills that will help land that dream job;
  • network with like-minded people and entrepreneurs.
