Dates have been announced for this year's Cass Summer Show, an annual event that sees the studios of The Cass at Central House transformed into a vast gallery to display work by hundreds of graduating students.
This year there will be two exhibitions held across June and July reflecting the breadth and diversity of The Cass's creative output.
Students from the art, music, film and visual communications departments will exhibit their work from 10 to 18 June, with a private view on 9 June from 6.30pm. Courses represented will include Fashion, Fine Art, Furniture, Graphic Design and Illustration, Interior Design, Jewellery and Silversmithing, Music Technology, Musical Instrument Making, Photography and Textile Design.
Students from Film and Animation courses will screen their work at an event called Final Cuts 2016, held at the British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank on 16 June from 2pm. The event is free but tickets are limited so booking is essential.
This will be followed by the architecture exhibition, which will run from 24 June to 2 July, with a private view on 23 June from 6.30pm. Courses represented will include the Architecture BA and MA, Spatial Planning and Urban Design MA and Professional Diploma in Architecture.
Andy Stone, Acting Dean of The Cass, said: "Our summer shows are a celebration of the extraordinary work produced by our students each year. Throughout June there is the opportunity for friends, families, employers and collaborators to share in their achievement.
"What visitors will see next month is the product of months of hard work and dedication behind the scenes. I'd like to thank our students for their remarkable energy and engagement which has resulted in such amazing work, and their tutors who have supported and nurtured them with such great commitment."
From 10 to 18 June, students from short and professional development courses in The Cass will also be exhibiting their upholstery work at a show in the faculty's Commercial Road building. Additionally, between 10 June and 2 July, students from Cass foundation/extended degree courses will exhibit their work in the Bank Gallery, Central House.
