Amnesty International speaks to students

Two guest speakers from Amnesty International will be delivering a presentation as part of Enhancement Week.

Date: 14 March 2017

As part of Enhancement Week, the School of Social Sciences will be hosting a two hour session with two guest speakers from Amnesty International.

Richard Kitter, an Amnesty Trainer official, and Krisztina Saroy, the Vice-Chair Country Coordinator Steering Committee and Country Coordinator for West and Central Africa, will be speaking on Europe’s refugee crisis.

Focusing on the work of the newly launched I Welcome campaign, Richard and Krisztina will be delivering two presentations on the work they do and promoting refugee rights.

I Welcome is a campaign organised by Amnesty International which aims to protect the rights of refugees.

Enhancement weeks are held at London Met every year to give students real life experiences and develop skills, knowledge and experience beyond the classroom.

The event will be held in TMG-45 on 15 March. Entry is free and all students and staff are welcome to attend.
