The Board of Governors is empowered by the University’s Articles of Association to make regulations for the conduct of the University. Regulations may also be made by the Academic Board. The University must be conducted in accordance with the Articles of Association and the regulations. In the event of a conflict between the Articles of Association and the regulations, the Articles of Association will prevail.

The Board has also approved a Scheme of Delegation (which has the status of regulations) to define how responsibilities are inherited by the Board’s committees, the Vice-Chancellor and other members of the University’s executive.
