The School of Social Sciences is home to a vibrant academic community encompassing the disciplines of criminology, policing, sociology, psychology, politics and international relations. Many programmes have professional accreditation including from the Health and Care Professions Council, the College of Policing and the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Politics and International Relations – The Thucydides Trap: Is a war between the USA and China inevitable?

This lecture from Dr Andrew Moran, Head of Politics and International Relations at London Met, will examine the increasingly competitve relationship between the USA and China. It will explore whether China's rise can be accomodated within the international system, or whether we are entering a period of conflict between the USA and China which will end in a new Cold War.

Psychology – Feeding disorders: A taster

Join Dr Sam Banbury, course leader for our Counselling and Coaching BSc, to explore feeding disorders in this exciting and challenging taster session. You'll have the opportunity to develop your own case formulation based on an example, and examine how you might be able to support someone in clinical practice. Join the Psychology session here

Sociology and Criminology – Quiz
