London Met graduates, Saara Eveliina Suoyrjo and Anna Ojutkangas, are going strong with their business which brings Finnish tastes to London.
Arctic Power Berries, was founded by the two Finns in London Met’s Accelerator. They wanted to bring the tastes of Finland to London in a healthy and affordable way.
Anna studied Sports Therapy at London Met at the same time as Saara studied Fashion Marketing. The two friends have an interest in maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle and this led them to create their 100% natural berry powder which add Finnish berry flavours to whatever you’re making; from porridge to pancakes.
The entrepreneurs took part in the Student Enterprise programme at Accelerator, a scheme which gives students an opportunity to discuss their business idea with a qualified professional and offers funding and workspace London Met students.
“The Student Enterprise programme has been so helpful for us. When you’re starting out you have so many questions, so it’s a big help to have experienced advisers to talk to,” Anna and Saara said.
“The opportunity to work from Accelerator has been invaluable and working alongside other start-ups and entrepreneurs is really motivating.”
Their berry powders are available through the Arctic Power Berries website and are also available in selected shops including Selfridges, Harrods, Fenwicks in Newcastle, Ocado and Whole Foods.
