US politics expert to share insights on the 2020 presidential race

Professor Brian Brox to deliver the lecture as part of a program run by the US Embassy in London.

Date: 29 January 2020

Students studying Politics and International Relations (BA) at London Met, as well as students from other courses, will have the opportunity to hear from a US Professor explain the 2020 USA Elections during a special guest lecture next Monday.

Professor Brian Brox, who teaches American Government and Political Parties at Tulane University, will be delivering the lecture, which will cover the candidates, the primaries, and the campaigns involved – as well as the presidential and congressional elections.

Dr Andrew Moran, Head of Politics and International Relations, said: "We are delighted to host Professor Brian Brox, thanks to the support of the US Embassy in London. Professor Brox will be sharing with students his valuable insights into the US election process and discussing what promises to be a fascinating, and bruising, election year, both at Congressional and Presidential level.”

This guest lecture is organised by the US Embassy as part of the Embassy Speaker Programme, which offers schools the chance to hear from eminent Americans first-hand on different topics, such as politics, history, and culture.

The lecture will be taking place Monday 3 February, in room TM3-03, from 2-3.30pm.
