Helen Vernon has had a career in insurance and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on healthcare. She is currently Chief Executive of NHS Resolution, the national organisation responsible for resolving NHS compensation claims, advising on practitioner performance concerns, and adjudicating on contracting disputes. She has championed work in alternative dispute resolution and transparency to keep disputes out of court whilst using data from legal claims to help the NHS learn from medical errors and improve patient safety.
Helen has an MA in Law from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Insurer.
