Albion Stone

Albion Stone are a company who mine the famous Portland limestone.

Albion Stone have been involved with the Portland stone industry for over three quarters of a century, and quarrying the stone from the Basebed, Whitbed, and Roach seams for over 30 years. Many of the greatest buildings in London are constructed from Portland stone. It is chosen both for its beautiful aesthetic qualities and because its immense strength under compression makes it ideal for load-bearing masonry. The stone's extreme durability allows it to be used for high-traffic paving, and it's the perfect medium for carving sculptures and lettering.
