Writing Research

Cass Research Workshop #4

The objective of this Writing Research Workshop is to demystify the journal process. The workshop will cover different types of writing for different purposes; the writing of articles appropriate for journal submission; identifying and scoping out potential journals for your work and the peer review process after submission.

Attendees will work in small groups in order to clarify the 'take-home message' from their practice and research. We will work with paper-plans, lists and mind maps for drawing out relationships between different parts of a potential paper, explain how to create a paragraph plan, and how to come up with a catchy, searchable title title.

This one of the in the 2018-19 series of Cass Research Workshops. The series, which covers a range of topics – from practice as research, to academic writing, to book-publishing – aims to support and encourage Cass Staff and Postgraduate Research Students to develop key skills in academic research for artists, designers, writers, architects and other fields of creative practice.
