4 x 2

4 x 2 is inspired by the idea of a simple building component (a regularised 4 x 2 standard sawn timber element) - used in both simple and complex projects alike. This series of talks explores a range of projects, inviting external practitioners to share with students their experience working on a different types and scales of projects - from temporary and pop up, to large-scale works.

Through an exploration of varied works from a wide range of highly regarded UK practitioners, we are exploring variety and opportunity within the realms of interiors and interior architecture.

Conceived and curated by Head of Interiors, Kaye Newman this series will run in the academic year 2016/2017. The talks form part of our public programme of lectures and events. Talks are free and open to students, staff and members of the public.

Talks have been generously given by visiting speakers.
