Alex is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Sociology Social Sciences and Professions.

After completing a BA in French and Spanish, Alex worked teaching English Language to international students, completed a Postgraduate Diploma in English language teaching to adults, and has since worked at three London Universities on academic skills development. He has been working on the foundation year of the extended degree programme in Social Sciences and Professions for four years.

Alex completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education with distinction in 2023.

Alex's teaching focuses on skills development and themes of identity and social justice. His teaching on the sociology degree is around Global Inequalities and Enviromental Injustice, which are all very important to Alex and are also major themes of his art practice, which he pursues part time.
