Victoria Hurley, a guitar making alumni of the Musical Instruments BSc at the Cass is interviewed about her work on BBC Radio 4.
As part of a Radio 4 program called The Instrument Makers, Victoria Hurley, who studied on the Musical Instruments BSc, is asked about her life as a guitar maker.
She describes how she has set up a musical merchandise shop in Orpington, Kent that incorporates her instrument making workshop and the relationship between client and the demand for custom made guitars. She demonstrates the exacting skills needed to become a maker and how she learned these by studying at the unique musical instrument making degree course at London Metropolitan University.
The whole interview is testament to the continuing specialism of musicalinstrument making in the UK.
