Mustafa Hulusi, the artist whose work is currently pasted to the walls of The Cass Bank Gallery, has inspired a major prize for all Cass Art Students.
The Flyposting Commission is a huge opportunity and will see the winning work reproduced at billboard size and flyposted across London in the two weeks before Christmas. This enormous prize will provide city wide exposure for the winning artist.
Submissions are now open and can be made while the show is on throughout October.
The competition will be judged by Mustafa Hulusi, Cass MA tutor Bob and Roberta Smith, the show's curator Sotiris Kyriacou and the show's sponsor, the national flyposting agency Jack Arts.
The brief:
Students need to create a poster, of the right dimensions (or croppable), for flyposting. Be sharp. This isn't about just enlarging your current work for a poster (although it could be), it may mean making some new work, doing some research and developing new ideas. Think carefully about the context; poster sites, advertising and how it's used...
Mustafa’s exhibition can provide inspiration you can see that any subject can be used – there is no prescribed theme.
