The sociology and social policy summer school on 'Homelessness in Islington' was attended by A level students from across London. The week of activities included a talk by Stephen Robertson CEO of The Big Issue and a panel of experts including Darren Alexander from Islington council and Wendy James from Crisis. Pictured above is course leader Stuart Isaacs with some of the students on a visit to the Market Road Estate where they saw how social housing could provide both affordable and high quality homes. The students ended the week with some outstanding presentations attended by the whole summer school, tutors and parents.
