Ending on a high note

Music Technology students and staff celebrate the end of the year with a virtual showcase.

Date: 10 August 2020

To celebrate the end of a challenging academic year, the London Met Music team recently curated an online showcase of work created by their students in 2019/20. The site features projects from students from Foundation Year up to this year’s graduating third year students on Music Technology and Production courses, and some work from students of Film and Television Production (including Foundation Year) and Photography courses.

The showcase website went live on Friday 3 July, with the launch accompanied by a private virtual party attended by students and staff. The varied and exciting work featured reveals the Music Technology students' live sound and studio projects, showing their accomplishments in composition, live electronics, music for film and more. The website also offers a chance to read some of the best dissertations from the subject area.

Speaking about the showcase, BSc Music Technology and Production course leader Elaine Thomazi said, “The site celebrates everything we achieved over the past year, in particular the great work by our students. They have done an amazing job, especially given the limitations imposed by lockdown and we are so proud of everyone! We hope you enjoy your visit to the showcase website!”

The Music Technology and Production course at London Metropolitan University was recently ranked as third in the UK for overall satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2020. If you are interested in joining the course in 2020 there are some places available via UCAS clearing. To find out more call 0800 032 4441 or visit our Clearing webpage
