Making Matters #3

Cass student and alumni exhibition for London Design Festival

Date: 29 August 2018

Making Matters #3 at The Loom is an exhibition of work by students and alumni from The Cass, London Metropolitan University, exploring the processes of designing and making. The exhibition will form part of the London Design Festival 2018 which runs from 15 to 23 September but is open before and after the Festival.

Disciplines represented at the show include architecture, fine art, furniture and product design, jewellery and textiles. Expect bold innovation, careful craft and material.

The Making Matters series continues to evolve the collaboration, now in its third year, between the Cass Projects Office and The Loom Art Space based on Gowers Walk in Whitechapel. This rolling curation of student and alumni work is committed to exploring and reinvigorating the making processes which richly identify and resonate with the history of the Loom building. The show follows a successful Textiles exhibition in 2017 and the Brady Club exhibition in Spring 2018.

As part of London Design Festival, there will be a private view event at The Loom on the 18 September from 18:30
