London Met students take part in ‘Aero Quiz’

Aviation Management Students participate in the Royal Aeronautical Society's (RAS) Annual Quiz.

Date: 10/12/2015

A big well done to our students from the BSc Airport, Airline and Aviation Management course took part in the annual 'Aero Quiz' which is hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society.

This was a chance for our students to showcase their talent and knowledge by answering a range of questions. Being the youngest and the only student team, our students were up against some tough competition from a wide variety of teams, including teams consisting of engineers, pilots, RAS fellows and even a team from the RAS staff!

The quiz consisted of six rounds, two of which were table to rounds. The first table top round, students were tasked with identify company logos from a number of cropped pictures, in this round they scored an impressive 7/10, putting them in third position. Other rounds included a history round, current affairs round and picture round as well as a multiple choice round. The second table top round, participants were tasked with building a model jetliner out of pieces of Lego. The other engineering teams were at a clear advantage, but our Aviation management students never gave up coming out in the top four teams.
