London Met calls for imaginative t-shirt designs to celebrate Pride 2024 this summer

London Met has announced its participation in Pride in London on 29 June with a float that celebrates its LGBTQIA+ community.

The university is thrilled to announce the launch of the Pride in London 2024 T-Shirt Design Competition. Whether you're an artist extraordinaire or simply passionate about spreading love and acceptance, this competition is a chance to make a bold statement in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Key Details:

  • Competition launch: Thursday 11 April
  • Submission deadline: Friday 3 May
  • Shortlisted entries display: Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May
  • Winner announcement: Wednesday 22 May

How to participate

Participants are encouraged to use their imagination to have a chance to win. Entrants must submit an original design reflecting the spirit of Pride and The Real London via this form by 3pm on Friday 3 May.

Shortlisted entries will be displayed in London Met’s Rainbow Room from Monday 13 May, giving our community the opportunity to share their feedback and support.

The winning design will be proudly worn by staff and students marching at the Pride in London 2024 parade and on London Met's float, so it’s an opportunity to contribute and be part of a celebration of love, acceptance, and equality. The winning designer will also win £250.

Let's come together as a community to celebrate diversity, spread love, and champion equality. Join us in making Pride in London 2024 an unforgettable celebration!

If you are interested in delivering a session or activity for the Road to Pride 2024, fill out this form by Thursday 24 April at 11.59pm.
