In the ‘digital age’ sometimes more traditional ways of developing understanding are pushed to the background. However, working collaboratively with pens and large sheets of paper or a whiteboard is one of the best ways of developing a shared understanding. Postgraduate management students did just this in recording their own development in terms of leadership, debating and creating a record of issues that are sometimes difficult to see.
