As part of One Campus, One Community (OCOC) staff will be asked to choose new high-quality furniture for our new office spaces.
Date: 6 February 2017
The University's plans to refurbish office space for all staff as part of the One Campus, One Community (OCOC) estates transformation project will bring changes to the way our office space is designed.
As well as providing a new standard of office furniture, we are embarking on a process to select a new standard office task chair for use at each desk space. Our Estates department have selected five task chairs from leading office furniture suppliers including Boss, Ergohuman, Knoll, Orange Box and Senator. All chairs are of a high quality and offer a considerable degree of adjustment to height, back and lumbar support to ensure a comfortable seating position to all users.
Try new furniture
From Monday 13 February to Friday 17 February 2017 the sample chairs will be on display at the Holloway campus in room TM3-02 every day from 10am to 5pm. A demonstration session will also be held with representatives of the chair suppliers who will be present to show how to adjust the task chairs to ensure maximum comfort and support for the individual user. The demonstration session will take place from 12pm to 3pm on Wednesday 15 February 2017.
All London Met staff are invited to visit the display to view, sample and feedback on the chairs. The chair favoured most by our staff will be selected and rolled out across all of our new office spaces.
