Celebrating the work of Cass Reader Simone ten Hompel at The Glasgow School of Art.
Confluence/Konfluenz – a life with metal reflects on the remarkable thirty five year career of silversmith Simone ten Hompel, Reader in Metal at The Cass.
Working with independent curator Amanda Game, the retrospective brings together domestic objects, sculpture, images, models and photographs to trace Simone ten Hompel’s exceptional work as designer, maker, teacher and curator in the field of contemporary metal design.
Produced by Ruthin Craft Centre, Wales the touring show also includes a newly commissioned film collaboration directed by Jarman Award shortlisted artist filmmaker Matt Hulse.
