Branch committee officials from the CIPD’s north London branch joined BA HRM students for a recent ‘lunch & learn’ employability session to tell our students about the benefits of joining the HRM professional body, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and our local north London branch.
The session was run by our BA HRM alumna, Mafalda Vilhena who, having graduated with a first class honours degree and landed herself an excellent HR role in industry, also volunteers her time to work as a friend to the CIPD’s north London branch. Mafalda and her colleague Yetunde Oladipo, who is on the branch committee, spoke about the various benefits that flow from gaining CIPD professional qualifications as a result of studying on the BA HRM at London Met.
The BA HRM runs monthly ‘lunch & learn’ employability sessions for students at all levels of the course. Students benefit from hearing from expert speakers as well as having the chance to network and share experiences.
