'Concrete Gown for Immaterial Flows', a newly commissioned sculptural installation and performance by Pil and Galia Kollectiv
Date: 8 November 2014
Pil and Galia Kollectiv are participating in the exhibition MIRRORCITY at the Hayward Gallery. Their installation, Concrete Gown for Immaterial Flows, will feature a series of performances of Nathan Alterman's "Morning Song" over the next couple of months:
13.11.14 at 19:30 The Rebel’s Ben Wallers started in the mid-1990s as the singer, guitarist and main songwriter of the legendary Scottish band County Teasers. Although The Teasers continued to release albums regularly until 2008, Wallers also started working under many different monikers including The Devil and The Male Nurse. As The Rebel, Wallers mixes garage punk, lo-fi country and ecclectic sounds and his songs deal with social taboos and the political malaises of liberal democracy.
13.12.14 at 17:00 Holger Hiller is a founding member of seminal 1980s German new wave/post-punk band Palais Schaumburg, whose song "Wir Bauen eine neue Stadt" ("we build a new city") remains a definitive document of that era. Hiller was one of the first musicians in Europe to use the sampler as his main or sole instrument and continues to make solo music and perform live.
