Mr Allan Boardman
Allan is a seasoned business advisor and accredited trainer specialising in information technology governance, assurance, risk management, cybersecurity, and data protection. Since April 2024, he has delivered AI-focused workshops and presentations to more than1,000 professionals across 15 countries, sharing strategic insights on the intersection of AI, governance, and security. A regular speaker at international conferences, Allan frequently conducts executive-level courses and workshops. A Chartered Accountant, he began his career with Deloitte in Cape Town and brings over 45 years of experience with leading global organisations, including GSK, AXA, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, PwC, Marks and Spencer, and the London Stock Exchange.
 
In a voluntary capacity, Allan currently serves as a co-opted member of the Audit and Risk Committee at a major London university. He previously held roles as ISACA International Vice President and member of the International Board of Directors (2011–2014), Chair of the Credentialing and Career Management Board, and member of the Strategic Advisory Council. He has chaired and served on numerous ISACA committees, including the CISM, CGEIT, and CDPSE Certification Committees, the Credentialing Board, and the Audit and Risk Committee (Chair 2014–2015). He is also a past president of the ISACA London Chapter and has served on the British Computer Society’s Information Risk Management and Audit Special Interest Group. He served as a school governor at St Mary’s Church of England Secondary School in Cheshunt from 2009 to 2016 and chaired its Finance and Resources Committee.
 
Allan’s exemplary contributions to the field have earned him numerous accolades, including the ISACA Chair’s Award in 2014, the Eugene M. Frank Award for Meritorious Performance in 2019, and recognition as one of ISACA’s “Top-Rated Speakers” in 2018 and 2019. In 2023, he was honoured with induction into ISACA’s Hall of Fame. This designation recognises members who have shown exemplary dedication to advancing ISACA’s purpose through volunteer service, member engagement and other activities. 
He is an avid sports fan and volunteered at the London 2012, Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018, Paris 2024 and Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympics and the Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, Paris 2024 and Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi 2019, Berlin 2023 and Turin 2025, the Youth Winter Olympic Games in Lausanne 2020 and the Para Pan American Games Santiago 2023. He has also volunteered at numerous world and European championships since 2017 including athletics, hockey, cycling, cricket, canoeing, F1 racing, football, rugby, table tennis, swimming, baseball and gymnastics. He also volunteers for Oxfam, including at the Glastonbury music festival.
