What is the Race Equality Charter? 

The Race Equality Charter (REC), run by Advance HE, provides a framework for UK higher education institutions to identify, understand, and address systemic barriers facing minority ethnic staff and students. The application process involves forming a Self-Assessment Team (SAT), analysing institutional data, and creating an action plan for culture change. London Met is preparing its REC application and submitting this in 2026/27.
