Academic Quality and Development team

The AQD team is responsible for the following:

  • Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) liaison
  • Course approval (Academic Portfolio Committee and validation)
  • Definitive course and module lists
  • Monitoring and evaluation (including the evaluation of external examiner reports)
  • Course and module modifications
  • Periodic review
  • Collaborative provision due diligence, risk assessment, and institutional approval
  • Collaborative provision course validation and review
  • Collaborative provision monitoring and evaluation
  • Professional, Regulatory and Statutory Body (PSRB) support
  • Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation

Alongside key working relationships with academic managers and quality representatives in Schools, the AQD works closely with Student Journey and the Centre for Professional and Educational Development (CPED) in delivering these institutional responsibilities.
