Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Drive your business forward by utilising cutting-edge academic expertise. Support the development of the next generation of experts in your field. Access funding for growth and innovation.

What is a KTP?

For almost 50 years, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) have been helping businesses innovate. If you have an idea for your business but do not have the in-house expertise, then a KTP could be for you.

KTPs are three-way partnerships between a business or organisation, an academic institution and a talented graduate. Part-funded by government, these opportunities can address business critical issues, build capacity, solve strategic problems or lead innovative human- or technology-centred transformation projects.

Why London Met?

We have a strong track record of successful bids for KTPs, mKTPs and AKTs in innovation areas including charity and third sector, digital industries and creative industries.

At London Met, we know our strength lies in our people, our community and our commitment to equity and social justice. Many of our KTPs reflect this: our recent and ongoing partnerships range from sports-based mental health intervention to AI for unpaid caregivers, from charity business models to inclusive learning apps.
