Dr Torange Khonsari hosted a workshop dedicated to exploring funding strategies in the context of research. The workshop began by describing her collaborative AHRC-funded project entitled Neighbourhood Textile Commons, reflecting on the strategies utilised in developing this application, in relation to the project in question. Following this, Torange introduced participants to two case studies of high-scoring AHRC bids, on which she served as a member of the assessment panel, to explain key aspects to be aware of when writing funding bids.
The remainder of the session was dedicated to a practical workshop, where participants can begin planning a funding application. Participants were encouraged to identify a funding opportunity prior to the session that aligns with their research interests, in order to tailor the exercise.
