Glyn Robbins

Glyn is a Senior Lecturer in Community Development and Leadership at the School of Social Sciences and Professions.

Before moving to academia, Glyn worked in housing for 30 years. This included managing an Islington council estate between 2011 and 2021, while he completed his PhD at London Met (thesis, "Mixed Use Property Development and its Place in UK Urban Policy"). In 2021, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and went to study urban policy and housing activism in the Bronx, attached to the CUNY Graduate Centre. Returning to the UK, Glyn worked as a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield, while lecturing part-time at London Met, where he took up his current position in January 2024.
