Diane Smith
Diane joined the Research and Postgraduate Office in October 2019 as Impact Manager. She supports London Met colleagues to generate, promote, record and articulate research impact and knowledge exchange activities, including:
- Training sessions on research impact for academic staff and PGR students
- Support on how to include impact in funding bids and applications
- Managing the submission of impact case studies to REF2021
Previously, Diane worked at Brunel University London for over 11 years, including providing support to academics in the preparation of Impact Case Studies for REF.
Diane completed her doctorate in American Political History at Brunel in 2019, and has a Master’s in American Politics from Birkbeck College and a BA (Hons) in American Studies from Lancaster University.
