Dee Tracey joined London Met as a Senior Lecturer in Social Work in 2018. Prior to coming to London Met, Dee acquired 15 years of post-qualifying social work experience in statutory Children’s Services.
Dee qualified as a practice educator in 2007 and has extensive practice experience in working with social work students, newly qualified social workers and experienced practitioners. Dee was awarded an MA in Advanced Social Work (Practice Education) in 2015 and recently became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2019).
Since joining the social work team at London Met, Dee has taught on a number of modules that aim to develop the 'readiness for direct practise' for social work students. Dee has a keen interest in the learning and development of others and has delivered a number of practice education sessions and reflective practice supervision groups. In addition to Dee's social work teaching and tutor role, she continues to build strong relationships with social care providers and local authorities, promoting partnership working by creating positive and rewarding social work practice placements.
